Gardening Advice on Weed Killers
Almost everyone in the UK who owns a house with a garden wants to have the perfect luscious green lawn and be the absolute envy of all their neighbours. However, to achieve the perfect lawn time, effort and a bit of hard work needs to be invested to get you the beautiful green lawn. One vital ingredient for a perfect lawn is weed killers, and more to the point one that actually does what it says on the label. Weeds are a gardeners biggest problem, they are ugly, attract bugs and pests and even some are harmful. A good weed killer will solve most weed problems but only if you have chosen the right product for the job in hand.
There are many weed killer products available when gardening but when it comes to selecting a weed killer for your lawn there are certain general guidelines that you should follow. Dependant on the type of weeds you have determines the type of weed killer you should buy. For example general weeds can be blasted away with a broad range of weed killer products as these contain ingredients that will wipe away a wide range of weeds.
However, if you find that your lawn is infested by more specific types of weeds such as dandelions then you need to use a weed killer that has specifically been made to get rid of these types of weed. Although a general weed killer will kill these weeds it will not work as well as a herbicide product that is available for that type of weed. You also need to be aware that some weed killers may cause damage to your lawn if manufacturer instructions are not carefully followed. Always seek professional advice if you are unsure of using weed killer as it is poison and too much use will kill off your lawn. Weed killer needs to be used at specific times so it is also important to know when to apply a weed killer. By following the directions on the product you will get the best results when it comes to killing weeds and achieve the perfect lawn.
